74! The number of medical device projects in Novartis. Without a safe, user friendly, high-quality drug delivery system, our patients cannot take their medicine. Device Development & Commercialization in Schaftenau needs you to realise one of the most diverse and innovative medical device portfolios in the pharma industry.
<b>Your Responsibilities: </b>
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Plan and perform all activities for mechanical testing for Medical Devices and Combination Products
• Develop and design the test methods of combination products for various test equipment, including software and hardware updates
• Qualify the test equipment and validate the test methods
• Apply knowledge in the areas of materials (glass, polymers, rubbers, silicone/ lubricants, sterile barrier systems, adhesives) and manufacturing (injection molding, glass converting, rubber molding, assembly, fill & finish, transport validation)
<b>What you’ll bring to the role: </b>
Education: University degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology or similar; desirable: Advanced degree in a scientific or relevant discipline (Ph.D. or equivalent)
Languages: English fluent / German beneficial Experience: First experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industry would be beneficial, at best in the area of mechanical testing of medical devices. Experience in collaboration with quality departments would be beneficial.

The base pay is composed of a market oriented excess payment and the respective amount according to the Austrian collective agreement (at least € 48,718.04 per year on a full time basis).
