  • Drive plasma yield improvement and volume loss reduction initiatives by partnering with BioLife Operations Plasma Derived Therapy (PDT) business unite leadership.
  • Support/Lead Investigations, changes and improvement projects that involve BioLife and GMS value chain
  • Prepare and report out performance metrics measuring plasma yield, donation center performance and Teardown performance
  • Identify and drive implementation of digital solutions to improve efficiency in collaboration with GMS and Biolife business unites  


  • Ensure Knowledge Management is captured and shared across the different functions, and will serve as a liaison to plasma collection to ensure plasma meets manufacturing requirements
  • Execute, coordinate and  support programs to drive yield improvement projects, to secure the process and to reduce deviation
  • Lead global alignment teams, ensuring plasma quality meeting product dependent manufacturing requirements
  • Drive yield projects identification, scoping, prioritization, tracking and reporting
  • Supports evaluation of proposed collection changes for their impact on the manufacturing  down- and upstream process
  • Responsible for providing a reliable yield status and accurate yield forecasts based on plasma flavor
  • Perform evaluation of proposed collection center changes for their impact on the downstream manufacturing processes.
  • Facilitate governance model that connects BioLife and GMS organizations to support improvement projects and issue resolutions 
  • Owning current and future VSA strategy to ensure plasma plants’ Teardown processes are flexible and agile
  • Establish relationships with plasmapheresis suppliers by partnering with them to improve plasma collection efficiency 

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Knowledge and experience of Bio-Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (in particular Plasma process and products)
  • Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data and financial reports
  • Understand and resolve project and technical difficulties, interface with internal engineering/ technical experts, and manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment setting.
  • Knowledge about plasma collection and plasma fractionation required
  • High level of customer orientation and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of leveraging automation, digital and other emerging technologies to improve yield, efficiency and quality
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations enabling effective partnership with Quality
  • Broad knowledge and experience within the GMP environment, and regulatory affairs

  • International background appreciated

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of varied pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience
  • Leadership experience is preferable.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high priority, business-critical initiatives Significant experience in managing cross-functional, global teams.
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive working relationships across senior leadership teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen.

Travel required approximately 30% (national and international)
