
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
- Build, develop, motivate and lead a global team of process science experts responsible to improve predictability, robustness, and productivity of the manufacturing processes
- Provide strong technical leadership for global initiatives/projects and investigations which are complex and/or span across multiple products and sites
- Ensure Manufacturing Science Lab activities in the plants are visible to local and global partners and are aligned with the OpU objectives and priorities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Build, develop, motivate and lead a global team of process science experts responsible to improve predictability and productivity of the manufacturing processes
- Ensures process knowledge is shared and leveraged across sites and functions. Maintain and update QbD documents for multisite plasma commercial products (p-FMEA).
- Ensure Manufacturing Science Lab activities in the plants are visible to local and global partners and are aligned with the OpU objectives and priorities.
- Provide strong technical leadership and alignment for global initiatives/projects and investigations which are complex or span across multiple products
- Co-own PPQ and CPV’s Strategy to globally harmonize and manage PV approaches and process control strategy across the Plasma Network
- Continuous Improvement. Data mining/analysis.
- Provide capability to properly document and/or communicate complex and technical information
- Responsible to identify best process practices and to promote harmonization within the sites
- Scientific due diligence and advisory
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
- Has a deep and broad understanding of plasma manufacturing, the regulatory environment, life cycle management, trends in innovation, and financial acumen

- An enterprise manager balancing and aligning goals and priorities to meet company objectives

Decision-making and Autonomy
- Full accountability for complex decisions regarding the allocation of resources within the Process Sciences group for effective management of these activities across the product portfolio
Interaction
- Works across Glocal Manufacturing Science Plasma and the Sites to align on vision and priorities.
- Works across GMS ci global functions as needed for business metrics and align on LCM procedures
Innovation
- Provides inputs for defining the innovation roadmap for GMSci Plasma
- Ensures process knowledge sharing across sites and functions for effective management of products
Complexity
- Manages with a matrix of reporting lines and across functional areas
- Provides leadership to drive highly complex projects including that span multiple sites and products
Education / experience
- Degree in biochemistry, biotechnology or pharma; minimum Master Degree or PhD
- Minimum 10-15 years experience in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing
- Experience operating globally in a matrixed organization highly preferred

- Travel up to 25 % of his/her time
