Synthetic biology for efficient gas feedstock conversion
in Graz / Austria for 40 hours a week
That’s the project
As part of the acib Lighthouse project “Synthetic biology for efficient gas feedstock conversion” the project will explore the potential of an autotrophic bacterium (Cupriavidus necator) for the production of biochemicals. The feasibility of autotrophic production host will be demonstrated, so that the breadth of the general approach can be estimated. The approach is to integrate synthetic biology and process intensification to demonstrate the successful production of commodities from CO2 and thus to bring acib into a leading position in the microbial utilization of carbon dioxide.
For this project we are looking for a postdoctoral fellow for 2 years within a funded project within the Austrian Centre of Industrial Biotechnology starting at the beginning of 2020.
