CAARE is a European Doctoral Networks project and deals with the characterization and recovery of bionanoparticles for vaccine delivery and gene therapy. Overall, 14 Doctoral Candidates will be trained at seven institutions in five European countries and will be supported by a network of industrial and academic partners.
At acib you will deal with the development of a chromatographic separation method with ultra-high capacity and throughput for purification of bionanoparticles. You will develop a capture method for bionanoparticles which is suitable for platform processes as well as a method for estimation of all parameters for scale up. In addition, you will do environmental and economic metrics (process mass intensity and cost-of-goods) of the new process compared to conventional processes and determine the characteristics of the bionanoparticles (size, composition, cargo, etc.) obtained by convective or 3D-printed material with methods developed within the consortium.
