The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a motivated Sample Management Technician (f/m/x) in Langkampfen, Austria. In this role, you will handle our customer’s samples and ensure their proper administration and storage.

This role is a permanent, full-time position, based at our pharma customer’s site in Langkampfen. Next to the base salary, we offer regulated working hours, an annual bonus, 25+2 days holidays, training opportunities, and a company pension scheme. Interested? Let’s talk!

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00 (38,5 hours/week)

What we’re looking for

Education: Completed vocational training as a chemistry or biology laboratory technician

Experience: First hands-on laboratory experience in a comparable area but we are more than happy to receive your application if you are freshly graduated!

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of GxP and rules of conduct in a chemical laboratory
  • Good IT user knowledge of Excel and SAP is an advantage
  • Fluency in English is a must, German proficiency is an advantage
  • Quality-oriented personality with an understanding of good customer service

How you will thrive and create an impact

  • Receipt and independent management and distribution of samples
  • Provide analytical teams with regular updates on sample status
  • Reception of sample deliveries and checking for completeness of materials and documents
  • Labeling of incoming or outgoing samples (vials, syringes); Printing of labels
  • Storage and management of samples according to regulatory and quality requirements
  • Alliquotation of samples
  • Dispose of samples per applicable regulations
  • Shipping of samples including preparation of the necessary documents
  • Assist in creating work instructions / SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Always listen to customer concerns and actively think about how laboratory support processes can be improved
  • General order and cleanliness, strict adherence to occupational safety regulations

The intended gross annual salary for this position is at least €38,000. Depending on qualifications and professional suitability, payment above this sum is possible.
