The position

As of now we are seeking a Head of Patient Safety who will be responsible for pharmacovigilance (PV) within the RCV (Regional Center Vienna) territory in line with global and regional strategies, acting as an interface between Local and Regional Patient Safety as well as PV in RCV. 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the RCV Patient Safety Department and define the department strategy based on a provided framework
  • Ensure communication to the stakeholders of any relevant changes in relation to the product portfolio, licensing activities, clinical trials, local PV regulations, audits, inspection activities and external safety related requests in RCV countries
  • Maintain oversight of ongoing PV tasks and activities to establish and maintain compliant local PV systems
  • Work in line with regulatory requirements and applicable internal procedures and processes, allowing the company to obtain and maintain marketing authorization of its products
  • Develop and maintain an internal cross functional network to optimise PV processes and ensure prompt PV issue resolution for the RCV territory

Requirements

  • Scientific degree and professional experience (eg. physician, pharmacist)
  • Considerable pharmacovigilance experience and sound expertise in GxP regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, management and coaching skills
  • Ability to effectively innovate, analyse complex data, prioritize, and work collaboratively with many stakeholders 
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in oral and written English being a must; German would be a plus

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 112.861,28 (full time). For the actual salary the industry benchmark as well as your qualifications and experiences are taken into consideration.
