Lab technician position
Cell culture support
in Vienna / Austria for 10 hours a week
That’s the project
Vaccine production is often based on the cultivation of animal cells, especially adherent cell cultures on microcarriers. These are, as is state of the art, transfected with a virus stock once the cells have reached a quasi monolayer. However, the scale-up, which requires multiple cell transfer between carriers, requires a deeper understanding of the process.
The overall goal is to develop an easily transferable platform process to shorten the time to market of vaccines and to ensure the production of safe and affordable biopharmaceuticals.
