As Product Science Lead (f/m/x) you will be part of the Global Manufacturing Science team and responsible for the provision of strategy relating to product comparability and specification justification for Takeda’s diverse commercial plasma portfolio. This position can be based in any Takeda (manufacturing) site.
Your (new) Opportunity:
Provide deep understanding of product structure, quality, impurities, stability, and characterization as well as structure-function relationships
Partner with other global functions and with analytical development to identify new technologies, integration opportunities and to improve product characteristic tests robustness
Responsible for comparability strategy and the completion of the protocol/reports for the Takeda’s large and diverse commercial plasma portfolio
Work closely with the Quality and Regulatory organizations on submissions, being responsible for the product characterization, comparability, specification justification relevant sections
Continuous improvement as well as keeping up to date with industrial and academic knowledge in assay technology specifically in protein characterization; lead implementations if applicable
Identify product characterization gaps; create, update or maintain products characterization baselines
Trouble shoot and lead investigation when needed for the product characterization related issues
Collaborate with other business units to provide technical consultation to ensure the characterization tests for comparability are strong with no gap
Your Skills and Qualifications:
B.Sc. / M.Sc. degree or PhD in Biochemistry, Life Sciences or in a similar field
10+ years of related industry experience; solid background in protein biochemistry with in-depth understanding in product test principles
Hands on assay experience
Knowledge of regulatory expectations, submissions, and documentation
Team supervising experience is considered an asset
Critical as well as strategic enterprise thinking, good analytical mindset, problem solving skills
Strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively articulate complex technical issues
Ability to work during routine business hours but be flexible to cover global business hours

Motivated employees must be remunerated appropriately. The minimum salary for this important and responsible position is € 4 527,78 gross per month (full time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry). The actual remuneration package will be guided by your professional experience and your qualifications, so increased payment is possible.
